COUNCIL PUTS ITSELF FIRST

Weekend Courier - - Opinion -

I REFER to the publicity regarding another Ako junket (Weekend Courier, April 20).

Mr Cormack states that Mayor Barry Sammels’ legacy will be, amongst other things, on how the Rockingham Council wasted $35,000+ of ratepayers’ money on the council funded trip to Japan.

A further legacy left by council will be a hideous and dangerous 25m high communications tower, erected centrally, in a prime position in Secret Harbour Shopping Centre.

The tower was approved by council at a recent meeting. DAVID RUDMAN, Port Kennedy
