CASUARINA topped the list of big sales on the Coast last week with two beachfront properties fetching more than $3.6 million combined.

A five-bedroom home at 29 She-Oak Lane claimed the No.1 spot after selling for $1.955 million while a property at 39 Beech Lane followed closely behind after fetching $1.671 million.

LJ Hooker Kingscliff agents Carol and Nick Witheriff marketed the She-Oak Lane property, which sold on June 26.

“It was marketed for about five weeks before we ended up selling it,” Mr Witheriff said. “The home had a really tranquil feel about it.”

Mr Witheriff said a Gold Coast woman bought it. The sellers were a young family with four children, which Mr Witheriff said proved the home was versatile and could suit various buyers.

He said the buyer would move from her Broadbeach home to live in the property.

“She wanted to find somewhere that offered her a change in lifestyle — somewhere that still had all the amenities and still has that small coastal town feel,” he said.

The multi-level home sits on a 687sq m block and has five bedrooms, twobathrooms, a pool and built-in playground.

Further south, the home at 39 Beech Lane sold under the hammer last weekend.

Ray White GC South Network agent Shaun Cardillo, who handled the sale, said there were two active bidders on Saturday.

He said more than 30 people inspected the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home throughout its four-week auction campaign.

“We had lots of people through the property, there was good interest all around,” Mr Cardillo said. He said its beachfront position and general location at Casuarina were its main drawcards.
