Buyers take virtual tours
NEW technology is helping Gold Coasters build their dream home by offering virtual tours through various designs and floorplans.
G.J. Gardner Homes is streamlining the design process with its Virtual Display Village. The company’s Gold Coast general manager, Simon Curtis, said the experience was an Australian first.
It is available at Villawood Properties’ designer display village at Helensvales’ The Surrounds as part of a national rollout.
“This technology allows clients to walk through any home design they choose, offering them the opportunity to experience more than 24 display homes, not just the one we selected to build in the local area,” Mr Curtis said.
“It will also make the planning process a lot quicker by making it easier to amend plans in real time, ready for a draftsman to finalise the details.”
Research by realestate.com.au revealed stress and unexpected costs were the biggest barriers when it came to building a home, with more than 60 per cent of those surveyed claiming online walk-throughs would be a useful planning tool.
