But after living in an older house on the block for a few years, they decided to knock it down and start again.

“We bought the older house that was here ... and then realised it wasn’t going to get us through as a family home,” Mrs Goodman said.

“Our brief was originally to make sure that all the bedrooms had water aspects,” Mr Goodman said.

The five-bedroom double-storey home has multiple outdoor entertainment areas, open living spaces as well as a soundproof media lounge and study. Standout features include a 6m-long stone kitchen bench and gas fireplace.

They have decided to sell so they can downsize.
