Looking south for homesites

Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin - Property - - FRONT PAGE -

SAVVY buyers are looking south of the border for cheaper land, with new homesites released in the Tweed’s Bilambil Heights region offering spectacular coastal views without the hefty price tag.

The new Scenic Ridge project, which includes 44 lots across a 13ha site, offers lots ranging from 604sq m to more than 5.37ha, available from $400 per square metre.

“Scenic Ridge is unique, offering large lots close to the beach for a fraction of the cost you would expect to pay for a similar lot on the Gold Coast,” marketing agent Christie Leet from Sherpa Investments said.

“We are selling 800sq m lots for under $300,000 and have acreage lots starting in the low $400,000 range so this really is an opportunity for purchasers to secure a coastal lifestyle for less in a region primed for strong growth.”

Mr Leet said while there had been a lot of talk about the strength of the Gold Coast market, the success story was the Tweed Coast.

He said there had already been strong inquiry from Coast and Brisbane buyers.

Construction kicked off this week.
