Families head to Pimpama

Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin - Property - - FRONT PAGE -

PIMPAMA is set to continue its reign as one of Queensland’s top population growth hot spots with a building boom underway at Gainsborough Greens and about 200 families moving to the suburb over coming months.

Recent figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show Pimpama’s population grew by almost 31 per cent from 2016 to 2017 — the highest in Queensland.

This record-breaking population growth, teamed with increasing residential building activity, has led to the Housing Industry Association (HIA) pegging Pimpama as Australia’s fastest growing housing market.

On the back of high demand, a limited number of sites remain in Gainsborough Greens’s latest stage — the popular Woodland Release in the Forest Green precinct.

Mirvac Queensland residential general manager Warwick Bible said the figures were proof of a growing trend towards building a new home instead of purchasing an established property.

Lots at Gainsborough Greens are priced from $262,000 and home and land packages start from $559,299.
