PALM Beach’s ritzy oceanfront stretch has been kicked up a notch with the listing of this luxury beachfront pad priced at $16.5m. If achieved, the sale price would be the highest paid for a residential property in the exclusive southern Gold Coast enclave.

Originally built by former V8 Supercar driver Paul Weel and his wife Emma in 2017, the stylish five-bedroom home on a double block was designed by leading architect Bayden Goddard.

All bedrooms have ensuited bathrooms, while the top level master suite has a private balcony overlooking the ocean.

Prestige, said the hefty listing price — three times more than the owners paid in 2018 — reflected incredible local market growth. An older neighbouring property at 506 The Esplanade sold under the hammer for $12m in October.

“It is especially rare to find a house of this calibre on a north-east double block. So not only do you have the sensational absolute beachfront views right down to Coolangatta, but there is a massive garden with beautiful magnolia trees lined up on the side,” Mr Mian said.
