One shape doesn’t fit all

BUYERS who were quick to snap-up an apartment in the ultra-luxurious boutique LUXE building in Broadbeach are jumping at the opportunity to customise their beachfront abodes. As the final stage of the tower is released to the market, those who have already bought one of the 28 full-floor units are busily putting their stamp on them.

It was this opportunity to work with the developer, Broadbeach LUXE Development Company, to redesign the apartment that drew buyers Roger and Gai Smart to the project.

The couple, who live in a waterfront home in Sanctuary Cove, said they also loved the building’s exclusivity and prime location.

LUXE Broadbeach is located on the corner of Charles Avenue and Old Burleigh Road in Broadbeach, with panoramic beachfront and ocean views.

Designed by award-winning architectural company DBI, the tower is being built to help to meet a growing demand for ultrapremium private residences of international six-star standard on the Gold Coast. Priced start from $5.25m. The Smarts have been busy customising the 393sqm floor plan of their level 12 apartment, choosing to do away with some of the bedrooms.

Instead of five bedrooms, the Smarts have opted for a three-bedroom plus study floor plan, expanding the office space and adding a generous-sized wine room, and walk-inwardrobe and dressing room.

“That’s the beauty of these apartments. If you want to change it all and design your own floor plan within the space you can,” Mrs Smart said, “and you also have the freedom to pick our own finishes.

Mr Smart said: “It was an opportunity that we couldn’t pass up.

“The number one drawcard for us though, is the position. We love the area; all the fabulous restaurants, the casino, Pacific Fair, everything is here, including essential services such as supermarkets, doctors and pharmacists. We can leave our car in the garage and walk everywhere.

“When we heard it was going to be a sixstar, one-per-floor, high-end building, we knew it was the best opportunity.

“The size of the apartments and location of absolute convenience really appeals to us. We wouldn’t relocate from Sanctuary Cove for any old apartment.”

The $170m, 33-storey beachfront tower will also have a grand entrance foyer with concierge, exclusive six-star resort-style amenities including a 25m heated lap pool, along with three secure car spaces for each residence.

Broadbeach LUXE Development Company director John Kubatov said appealing to prestige property buyers had been the vision from the outset.

“We are very pleased that savvy local buyers have given LUXE their vote of confidence,” he said.

The develpoment is being managed by TOTAL Property Group.
