Waterfront showstopper

-

Amammoth waterfront block featuring a showstopper house in tightly-held Koala Park at Burleigh Heads is set to go under the hammer this month. The 1286sq m double block at 10-12 Elanora Drive hit the market last month and is already attracting plenty of attention according to marketing agent Troy Dowker, of Kollosche.

The expansive two-level house takes advantage of its 38m of water frontage which is just moments from popular Tallebudgera Creek.

“It’s an absolute showstopper,” Mr Dowker said. “It would be the biggest block in there that has waterfront access.”

The vendors owned No. 10 and snapped up No. 12 before they amalgamated the blocks and built their dream home in 2017.

They enlisted renowned Gold Coast architect Bayden Goddard who nailed their vision for a fully-functional family home inspired by the beach and the bush, with an indoor-outdoor floorplan.

“They basically built one big prime waterfront estate,” Mr Dowker said.

The house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, butler’s pantry, and several living zones. Among its standout features is a 25m pool, gym, sauna, built-in teppanyaki barbecue kitchen and gatehouse.

“It’s got some pretty amazing features,” Mr Dowker said.

“Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast and want to punch out a 30 minute workout at home, swim a couple of kilometres in the pool or do some stand-up paddle boarding on the Tallebudgera Creek, there really is a plethora of options.

“It’s also great for families given it’s got five bedrooms.

“Two kids, three, four, or five kids, there’s enough space top accommodate large families.”

Mr Dowker said buyer interest had been predominantly from the Gold Coast with some interest from Sydney and Melbourne.

“You can’t replace something like this,” he said. “It’s one of those houses that you admire from afar and if it ever comes on the market, you might do what you can to acquire it.

“It could take five to 10 years to amalgamate and go through the building process at the moment – this property is ready to go.”
