Sprawling properties in hot demand

Mansions flying off the market as buyers splash mega cash

-

IT’S been a massive week in the Gold Coast property scene with a flurry of mega sales. The biggest sale was a sprawling Surfers Paradise mansion known as North Point, which sold in a secret deal for $20m.

It’s understood the buyer is from a prominent Gold Coast legal family who snapped up the property at 91 Commodore Drive, Paradise Waters in an off-market deal.

Property records revealed vendor Dr Zelle Pullich took ownership of the block in 2016 before demolishing the house and building the sprawling mansion.

The property had been in her family since 2007 when father-in-law Peter Pullich paid $5.7m for it.

The agents behind the sale, Amir Mian alongside Victoria Fleri of Amir Prestige, confirmed the property had sold but declined to provide details.

“It’s one of the best-quality homes we have come across,” Mr Mian said.

The house was designed by Jared Poole Design and sits on a prominent stretch of the Nerang River.

Further south and a Gold Coast buyer has splashed a cool $9m on a sprawling riverfront mansion in Broadbeach Waters.

Ray White Surfers Paradise agents Jackson Paradise and Keegan Shaw were behind the sale of 300 Monaco St.

“We are noticing a lot of interest buyers looking at having large parcels of land on Monaco St,” Mr Paradise said. “It’s very appealing for families and it’s definitely rivalling (Mermaid Beach’s) Hedges Ave and Albatross Ave for the top end.”

The house sits on a 3132sq m block with 46m of river frontage.

To the north and a Hope Island property sold for $6.35m, making its owners more than $2m over five years.

The property, at 2334 Cressbrook Drive, was set to go to auction but a buyer made an offer that was too good to refuse.

Kollosche agents Sam Guo and Julia Kuo marketed the property alongside William Sarti.

And in Burleigh Heads, a property on one of the beachside suburb’s largest single residential lots sold at auction for $3.6m.

Six registered bidders vied for the fourbedroom, three-bathroom home set among lush gardens on a 1024sq m block just 300m from the beach at 23 Acanthus Ave.

Marketing agent Ed Cherry, of Harcourts Coastal, said three buyers remained active once bidding passed $3.2m, with the strong final sale price reflecting continued demand in the holiday hotspot.
