Gareth Davies thought his Tamborine Mountain home would make the perfect wedding venue, but that vision will now be up to someone else to actualise. “It always felt like a wedding destination property to me, but we never ended up doing it,” Mr Davies said.

“Maybe whoever buys it will think the same thing and make it happen.”

“You have things like board-by-board cut ceilings to fit the perfect hexagonal shape and a handmade mosaic bathroom.

“You couldn’t build something like this anymore, it would cost a fortune.”
