Ready to move in and enjoy

Resort-style living just doesn’t get any better than this newly completed six-bedroom, six-bathroom abode designed with a pool as the centrepiece, writes Carin Pickworth

PEACEFUL, private and all about the pool – Peter Prouse, the owner and builder of this stunning Maudsland house, knew from the outset how he wanted this project to unfold. “When you think of a really nice resort you see the pool as the centrepiece and everything else just extends off that pool,” he said. “That is what we have done here. “The pool is the centre of this property and everything else has been designed around it.”

With the house newly completed, Mr Prouse said the imported materials featured in the home – including French Oak timber floors, superior Miele appliances, leatherfinish granite and Italian veneer cabinetry – would be “a struggle” to source in today’s environment.

“This is all done and ready to go, but now you have six to nine months lead time on many of these materials,” he said.

“It was a pretty big ask to incorporate all of the quality finishes we wanted, but we achieved it.”

And Mr Prouse has poured decades of building prowess into the design of the sixbedroom, six-bathroom abode.

“Four of the bedrooms have their own ensuite, and the master suite is separate with a huge dressing room and its own fireplace to really lend to any kind of living situation or extended family,” he said.

“Essentially, you could even rent or Airbnb as separate properties because there is a separate guesthouse at the front, which is fully self-contained, and a self-contained pool house. In such close proximity to the theme parks and only six minutes to the M1, there is a view that you could actually make this resort-style living property into a mini resort.”

The kitchen is even primed for catering potential, according to Mr Prouse.

“There is a massive kitchen and behind it there is a butler’s kitchen which could be used for catering with direct access outside for supplies – so you could cater an event without the guests even knowing the catering team was there,” he said. And if you’re a golfer, hitch up your clubs. “The location is within 15 minutes to three golf courses,” Mr Prouse said.

“If you’re a keen golfer, that absolutely speaks for itself.”

Unrivalled features abound, with pool views from every bedroom, silver travertine tiling, Coco Republic lighting, imported wallpaper, built-in sound system, integrated appliances, a sunken lounge and acoustically insulated cinema.

Outside you will find the showstopper wraparound pool with Spanish ceramic tiling, supersized alfresco pavilion, built-in sun loungers, milkcan firepit and outdoor kitchen with weatherproof cabinetry, Gasmaster six-burner barbecue, and tripleglazed refrigerator.

Set in theHinterland haven of Maudsland with endless open spaces and greenery, and part of the prestigious Huntington Downs Estate, 48 Huntington Drive is up for sale via Expressions of interest closing on January 16..
