Sky’s the limit for Coast’s mega display village

-

The biggest display village in the Gold Coast region is being constructed at the $1.5 billion masterplanned community SkyRidge at Worongary. Once complete, it will showcase 17 prominent home builders and the most upto-date house trends and designs across 37 homes located near the entrance of the estate off Hinkler Drive.

The display village will feature major builders including Metricon, Plantation, Brighton Homes, Burbank, Porter Davis, GJ Gardner and Clarendon Homes, alongside local builders including Chelbrook Homes, Ultra Living, and Neptune Homes.

Project director Chris Alston said some of Queensland and Australia’s most trusted quality builders had been chosen to create homes to complement the development’s location and attributes.

“This is an exciting stage in the evolution of SkyRidge as we will start to see the types of homes that will be built in this unique estate,” Mr Alston said. “The display village has been carefully crafted to establish a high standard and to achieve the right mix of styles and sizes to help maintain the quality of the development.

“Once complete SkyRidge will have to up to 3500 dwellings, so it’s important we keep our final ambitions in mind, and the companies chosen to build here all share the same vision as we do.”

The SkyRidge Display Village will open in early 2024.

Metricon Queensland director Jason Biasin said the display village was set to become a true destination that will service the Gold Coast, Brisbane and northern New South Wales.

“We’ll be putting in four display homes, which will include three double-storeys and one single-storey and this will enable Metricon to showcase some new designs that our product development team are very keen to unveil,” he said. “SkyRidge is quite unique and its proximity to the Pacific Motorway makes it incredibly accessible to people travelling north, south and those residing on the Gold Coast.

“Knowing what this project will become, we’ve been anticipating this for a long time.”

The Ascent Neighbourhood was the first release at SkyRidge which offers many home lots featuring either views of the Gold Coast city skyline or onto the estate’s Ecological Corridor and parklands.

Its fourth land release in December 2022 received unprecedented interest, continuing the project’s successful sales journey since commencing in June 2021.

For the first time since commencing selling, SkyRidge has land lots available for sale to the public.

A key feature of the development will be an expansive network of large open green spaces, parkland and recreation areas, environmental corridors, and public art.

It will also include a village shopping and retail centre and a proposed independent school and childcare centre.
