Expansion time for finance department

-

UNPRECENDTED growth in the number of customers using finance to purchase cars has led Surf Toyota to double the size of its finance department.

Surf Toyota’s general manager, Adam Hall, said record numbers of people were buying new cars through the Toyota Access finance system.

“Toyota Access is a whole new way of buying a Toyota and it allows customers to choose their vehicle, a deposit amount (if any), loan term and the total number of kilometres they expect to travel,” he said.

“From here, our finance team will calcu- late the guaranteed future value of the car and then calculate monthly repayments.

“Our customers get to choose their deposit and loan term and also what they’ll do when the term is over; trade it up, keep it or return the car.”

Mr Hall said under the terms of the innovative finance package customers could essentially be driving a new Toyota every three or four years.

“The shorter the loan term, the sooner drivers could trade up or down to a new vehicle,” he said.

“Toyota Access guarantees the minimum future value of a new Toyota and keeps drivers in a new car for longer, which can only be a good thing.”

Meanwhile, Surf Toyota is gearing up for another massive end of financial year sale, with Mr Hall predicting cars will be considerably cheaper than last year.

Thousands of dollars will be shaved off popular models, including the Land Cruiser, Prado and the Corolla, the top-sell- ing car in Australia last year.

“This year’s end of financial year sale is a must-see event because prices will be well down on last year thanks to the recent free trade agreement with Japan,” he said.

“It’s an exciting time for Toyota customers, especially those in the market for a brand new car.”

The dealership is open from 8am to 5.30pm, for both Queensland and NSW customers.
