FIVE AREAS WHERE THE GAME WILL BE WON

-

THE HALVES

The rival halfbacks couldn’t be at more different stages of their careers. Titans No. 7 Kane Elgey will play his 16th NRL game up against Cowboys ace Johnathan Thurston, a veteran of 263 first grade appearances. It will be a great test for the young Titan.

THE BUNNIES

The Cowboys are the Titans’ bunnies. In the past three years, the Titans have won four of the six matches between the sides which is the Cowboys’ worst record against any team since 2012. The Titans need to capitalise on this record to finish the season on a good note.

GROUNDED JET

Titans centre James Roberts requires just one more try to pass David Mead’s club record of 16 in a season. Roberts was hospitalised with a virus this week but will be desperate to get on the field to pass Mead. He is an important part of the Titans backline and attacking structure.

FANTASTIC FELDT

Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt has scored four tries in the past two weeks and has six from his four matches this season. He’s a fantastic finisher and the Titans will have to keep him in check. Otherwise he could prove the difference in Townsville tonight.

HENRY RETURNS

This will be Neil Henry’s first match in charge as Titans coach against his former club. Henry coached the Cowboys in 124 matches, winning 58. It will be current Cowboys coach Paul Green’s 50th game in charge. No doubt Henry would love to get one over his former club.
