OFF AND RACING AT JUST FOUR

This evening’s indoor monster truck spectacular will showcase the talents of FMX riders and drivers, such as four-year-old karting prodigy Piero Pascazio

-

BOY racer Piero Pascazio can’t wait to get a taste of the action enjoyed by big boys with big toys at the FMX and Monster Truck spectacular.

Piero, who recently celebrated his fourth birthday, is a Gold Coast karting prodigy who caught the eye of Ferrari aged two years three months. He has since clocked up about 1000km, driving about 10km a week at motorsport driver training school Xtreme Karting, at Pimpama.

The tot, who has his own Facebook page and 180,000 followers, will join a grand parade to launch the annual charity event at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre tonight.

He will be alongside his instructor Ian Holm, who will be at the wheel of the world’s only Monster Kart, capable of speeds of 160km/h.

The FMX and Monster Truck Spectacular is an annual event when massive trucks with names like Outback Thunda and Speed Racer compete in a stunt-based indoorarena show.

Other highlights include FMX motocross riders performing highflying stunts, quad race wars, kart drifting, and fireball fire dancers.

BigGive2 presents the gig as a fundraiser for Childs Vision, supporting 200,000 children with life-threatening illnesses.

The event is expected to be one of the best attended shows this Father’s Day weekend.

FMX and Monster Truck Spectacular, Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre: Today, 5pm for 6.30pm show, from $31. Bring $2 coins for charity.
