GOLD COAST SUPERHERO WEEKEND Dust off the cape, tie up your boots and pull on your cosplay for a celebratio­n of everything supernatur­al and super-fun at the Gold Coast Superhero Weekend in Broadbeach.

GOLD COAST FILM FESTIVAL The red carpet is officially rolled out for the 15th annual Gold Coast Film Festival.

The carnival will screen 32 feature films from 13 coun- tries, including four World premieres, nine Australian premieres and eight Queensland premieres, plus a host of short films, events, panels, and intimate Q & As with filmmakers from April 19- 30. THE AUSTRALIAN DANCE CUP Surfers Paradise is set to bring the heat with the return of the annual Step Up Surfers Paradise dance competitio­n.

The Australian Dance Cup is the biggest dance competitio­n in the country with the most categories and competitor­s, showcasing national and internatio­nal dance profession­als battling each other in various dance genres to take the title of Step Up Surfers Paradise Champion. CURRUMBIN WILDLIFE SANCTUARY – SYMBOLIC SLEEP OUT Sleep under the stars at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on Anzad Day eve for a unique family experience.

This event is for everyone and will offer an insight into the lives of our service men and women through interviews on the night and a short documentar­y. The kids will be entertaine­d with “Critters Craft” and “Wondering Wildlife” experience­s for the whole family, as well as an outdoor cinema show experience with the feature film, Gallipoli.
