GROWING up through World War II we experienced the public apprehension, which was felt towards Japanese and German people and even their descendants in Australia, despite that many were Australian citizens.

Civilisation has always advanced by learning from previous mistakes and the only way forward is to introduce internment. This should be for any person involved with, or suspect of supporting such doctrines, which are not in keeping with our modern society.

Does he also suggest that the long-suffering businesses who lost significant income during Stage 1 construction and the ratepayers be compensated in return?
After all, those living near to the light rail Stage 2 have been significantly impacted upon and furthermore will be into the future with traffic disruption. LEN
