TAKE A SPIN AND ENJOY THE SHOW
It’s show time!
For the 111th year, the Gold Coast Show is back in town – its fourth year at the Gold Coast Turf Club location in Bundall.
While we all (well, most of us) enjoyed a day off in the festival’s honour yesterday, there are still too many locals who have never experienced the delights of this truly GC event,
Every year the Gold Coast Show hosts popular and traditional show events featuring fireworks displays, ring events, Australiana displays, show bags, wood chops, side-show alley, visual arts and home crafts displays, stage shows, roving entertainment and the free family circus.
Added to this is an extensive entertainment package that changes each year.
The annual three-day Gold Coast Show is a community-driven celebration of the agricultural history
and diverse modern culture of Queensland’s second-largest city.
The event attracts more than 65,000 visitors each year, who come to enjoy the mix of city and country competitions, demonstrations and displays, free live entertainment, carnival atmosphere and rides.
With a family pass – that’s two adults and three children – priced at $50, it’s value for money as well.
There’s so much to choose from at the show … but how can you resist the Rodent Show tomorrow?
Hosted by Queensland Rodent Fanciers, it’s on from 11am and features the finest rats and mice in the business. How can you resist those little furry faces?
If food rather than fur is more to your taste, you’re in the right place.
From Dagwood Dogs, chips, fairy floss, chocolate-covered strawberries to delicious healthy dishes and loads of food trucks – all your cravings are covered.
If you need a moment to relax amid the madness, head to the Show’s bar garden to cure your thirst while being entertained by live performers.
