GOLD COAST QUADDIE

- NICOLE THOMAS UBET

Race 6 – Class 6 (1400m) Delightful Feeling should’ve finished closer last start, trialled solidly and the pilot is flying. With form behind Care To Think, Courtza King should be competitive off the freshen-up. Plucky Girl ran a gallant second at her last outing and is a model of consistency. Desmon’s Pride loves this track and the 3kg claim helps.

Selections: 3 Delightful Feeling, 8 Courtza King, 15 Plucky Girl, 2 Desmon’s Pride

Race 7 – BM 90 Hcp (1800m) Slydini was beaten a whisker by the 8 and can turn the tables. It was a huge run by Aqua Vite after covering ground last start and is the danger if he pulled up OK. Cantbuybetter wasn’t far away in the Bernborough and is a chance off the quick backup. Feltre must be included after a good win last start. Selections: 6 Slydini, 8 Aqua Vite, 1 Cantbuybetter,

2 Feltre

Race 8 – Open Hcp (1200m) Siegfried was only 2.4 lengths from the winner in the George Moore and second-up stats are good. Mighty Like’s trial indicated he might be ready to fire first-up. Flamboyer is a huge threat if he can cross them early. Zumbelina copped a tough trip last time but her prior form is good enough to challenge.

Selections: 1 Siegfried, 4 Mighty Like, 3 Flamboyer, 5 Zumbelina

Race 9 – No Metro Wins Hcp (1200m)

Star Stiletto drops weight, maps well and should relish the extra 200m. Don’t Deny Us is unbeaten second-up and a strong chance if they overcook the speed up front. I’ve Gotta Nel maps to get a gun run. Nilette won easily at Ipswich on the heavy and can go well again.

Selections: 7 Star Stiletto, 14 Don’t Deny Us, 16 I’ve Gotta Nel, 12 Nilette
