EXCITING NEW WORLD
Q
Let’s start with your experience at the Commonwealth Games. You competed in three editions and won a silver medal at Melbourne in 2006. How do those memories stack up for you?
A
Right up there. When I first played in 2002, the occasion was unbelievable. It was a really fresh experience, I was quite fresh in my career. In Melbourne we knew more about what we were going to be experiencing and what it was like to be in a different environment from the normal day to day sevens environment. It was fantastic, both on the field and off the field. It was a very memorable occasion.
Q
Any idea how many countries you got to visit during your 13year international career for England?
A
Oh, wow. I think it has taken me to nearly every continent and close to every country. Through my career I have been very fortunate that I have seen a lot of the world and it’s been great because you experience different cultures, different types of cities. It has been really enjoyable.
