DRIVING OF A DIFFERENT KIND

FORMER Bathurst champion Tomas Mezera is still winning in sporting circles.

The Gold Coaster took the honours in the men’s monthly medal stroke competition at The Grand last Saturday.

The 59-year-old strolled to victory in the end with a three-shot margin.

Mezera’s extensive Touring Car (now Supercars) career was highlighted by winning the 1988 Great Race alongside Tony Longhurst.
