Trickle may be a Flood
NORTHCLIFFE great Naomi Flood hasn’t slammed the door on a possible full-time return after the Olympian’s strong world championship effort.
One of Australia’s greatest female surf ski paddlers came out of retirement in Adelaide to help a depleted Northcliffe line-up.
“I paddle a lot, I don’t train, I love paddling with the girls up on the Gold Coast ... we have a good time … I love the sport, I love the girls group at the moment,” said Flood, after pushing world champion and fellow Rio Olympian Alyssa Bull (Alexandra Headland) all the way to her first world title.
“But I don’t think I’ll race again unless it’s desperate measures again and I’m definitely glad it’s over.”
