PEOPLE’S CHOICE

It seems not everyone has caught the SUV bug. Sedans may be on the nose — sales are down roughly a third this year — but the sleek Mazda6 has won our people’s choice poll.

It’s the second year in a row voters have picked a sedan out of our 10 finalists in our online poll. The Kia Stinger was last year’s fan favourite.

The Mazda won with 19 per cent of the vote, followed by the Hyundai i30 N and Subaru Forester, each on 15 per cent. The people’s top three matched the judges’ picks, in different order.
