TIME TO CELEBRATE CRINGE-MAS

- AMBER MACPHERSON

DO your parents have a Christmas portrait on the wall that makes you cringe?

Or are you of the generation of family photos featuring big hair, fluoro clothing and way too big spectacles?

A new Christmas photo trend on offer at Robina Town Centre is giving families and friends the opportunity to create their own embarrasing memories with its free Awkward Christmas Portraits.

Robina Town Centre marketing manager Melissa Shaw said the concept paid tribute to the days before digital photos and social media, when you had one chance to take a photograph and crossed your fingers, hoping it turned out well.

“It’s a good excuse to dress up, have a laugh and capture a hilarious moment with family and friends,” she said

The photo booth has a professional behind the lens and a multitude of props and costumes.

But does have some 2018 tech – the photos are emailed to you for social media upload or printing. You can get your photo taken on Thursdays from 5pm until Christmas at Robina Town Centre.
