Terrorism charges

A BRISBANE man accused of wanting to travel to Syria as a foreign fighter and trying to recruit children to join him faces more terrorism charges.

Za’id Abdus Samad, 21, appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court via video link yesterday, when he was charged with another three terrorism offences relating to plotting, training and trying to recruit two teenagers to join him between July, 2016 and February, 2017.

Abdus Samad remains in custody.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 8.
