Hutson case continues
THE courtroom battle for Jenny Hutson, a high-profile merchant banker and former chairwoman of childcare outfit G8 Education, has been extended.
Ms Hutson appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday for a brief mention of criminal charges relating to a takeover bid by G8 for Affinity Education in 2015.
Ms Hutson, also head of merchant bank Wellington Capital, is defending the charges. They include 10 counts of allegedly having provided false or misleading information to a financial market operator. It was adjourned for another mention on December 21.
Ms Hutson was charged in April after an investigation by the Australian Investments and Securities Commission.
