FISHING

OFFSHORE: 24 fathom producing pearl perch, parrotfish and snapper. Mackerel are starting to show for summer.

BEACHES: Strong winds proving a test but a few whiting and dart are being caught in the surf.

RIVERS: Stay in close to the rock walls and bridges in the Tweed River for mangrove jack. Whiting and flathead also biting in the upper reaches of the Tweed. Try early in the mornings for whiting in the Nerang River.
