RACE 5 — BM 65 (1400m)

Shauquin returns to the Gold Coast after he finished a credible sixth at Doomben last start. He has been knocking on the door since he was sent to Queensland. Dynastic ended a run of placings with a narrow win at the Gold Coast last start. He is racing in career best form. House Of Drama is a consistent performer but will take benefit from the run. Iron

Dome won well at the Gold Coast last start and is a horse with plenty of upside.

RACE 7 — CLASS 3 HCP (1200m)

The Chris Meagher-trained

Cymbalism absolutely bolted in to win at Ipswich in what was her Queensland racing debut. Nathan Day will take her straight to the front and she will prove very tough to beat. Few Too Many won at Doomben a couple of starts ago and wasn’t disgraced at the Gold Coast last start. True

Myth has two wins and two placings from four starts over 1200m. Camillo returned to the races with a nice win at Grafton and he has trialled nicely there in between his race starts.

RACE 6 — BM 62 (1800m)

Lilakai has been racing well without winning and this is her chance to break through. She maps to get the run of the race and that could prove key in what is an open affair. Her stablemate

Twilighter is rarely far away at this level. She just needs a touch of luck in the run. The same can be said about Last Light, who has drawn horribly.

Archie Luxury has finished in the first four in his past five race starts.

RACE 8 — CLASS 1 HCP (1200m)

This is a tough way to finish the day for punters. Boom Boy returned to the races with a fast-finishing effort at the Sunshine Coast. Alannah Fancourt will be able to settle him closer to the speed from barrier four. Bold Warrior will return to the races for the first time this campaign and he showed promise in his maiden preparation. Brinkmanship is a better horse than his record suggests but he will need luck from the wide draw. It has been a long time between starts for

Miss Amber and she does have talent.
