Only for the high-flyers
A NEW ride has hit the Gold Coast and there’s good news for the scaredy cats – this one is for everyone.
Sea World’s latest attraction is called the Sky Flyer, and while it might sound like a thrill ride, it’s definitely one for the whole family – from the little ones (120cm minimum) to grandma.
The attraction is similar to the chair rides you see at a show or school fete, but Sea World has upped the ante with rainbow arms, dazzling lights and catchy tunes.
It travels around the world, visiting one theme park at a time for 12 months, zooming passengers about 33m up in the sky. At Sea World, this makes for some beautiful sightseeing over the Broadwater.
At 36km/h, the ride is fast enough for fun but not so fast you’ll have to worry about the Chiko Roll you just wolfed down coming back up.
