Dealer open over festive period

WHILE many automotive businesses shut up shop for a couple of weeks over the Christmas and New Year period, Surf Toyota in Tweed Heads South will remain open to serve its customers.

Adam Hall, general manager of the dealership, says the holiday period was often the busiest time of year for the business, and it stayed open to ensure customers who were tied up during the year had options.

“All staff in our sales and service team are working during the holidays, so those who get a break over this period can come in and spend time choosing their car,” he said.

“For those who want to get their car serviced to ensure it’s in good shape before they go away for the holidays, our service team is waiting.

“At this time of year, it’s important that customers ensure their cars are ready for hot temperatures and long distances.

“We’re also open for those visiting the area, who might need repairs while away from home.”

Mr Hall said Surf Toyota was closed on December 24, 25 and 26 and would reopen on December 27 for its Better Than Boxing Day 2018 Clearance sale.

He said it usually didn’t start until January so customers were able to get in early and pick up a 2018-plate vehicle at a great price.

“We’re closed January 1 but open every day in and around that and there’s plenty of bargains to be had,” Mr Hall said.
