WAVE FOND FAREWELL TO BIG YEAR

-

Christmas has been and gone and now it’s time to look forward into the new year.

And what better place to do that than on the Gold Coast beachfront?

The New Year’s Eve Carnival in Surfers Paradise is back for another year to provide free and familyfriendly entertainment for people across the Gold Coast.

Celebrate the final days of 2018 with carnival rides, attractions and pyrotechnics all in the lead-up to New Year’s.

Surfers Paradise Alliance CEO Mike Winlaw said the festivities are a

welcome way to see in 2019.

“The Surfers Paradise beachfront is set to be a hive of activity as 2018 comes to an end and the New Year is welcomed with a sky filled with colour and excitement thanks to not one, but two spectacular fireworks displays,” he said.

“We invite families to travel into the precinct early to enjoy all the entertainment on offer and make the most of the festivities.”

The event starts daily at 3pm and runs until 9pm, giving visitors the chance to watch the sun sink behind the Gold Coast skyline.

The six-day carnival began on Thursday and will continue until December 31.
