Tributes for crash victims

THE man killed in a horrific motorcycle crash earlier this week on the Gold Coast has been remembered as having an amazing heart and a beautiful smile.

Tributes for 33-year-old Moses Mitchell, have been flowing.

The crash at Helensvale early Thursday morning also took the life of Lisa Hau.

Ms Hau, 29, a mother of three young boys, was just 400m from her home when the bike on which she was a passenger lost control and left the road. The two had been riding south on Discovery Drive at 2.20am when the bike slammed into a metal bus stop pole before flying 30m down the road, and landing on a fence.

Neither were wearing helmets or protective clothing and both died instantly.

Neighbours said Ms Hau had been living at Helensvale with her children for about a year, and was joined by Mr Mitchell, from Brisbane, several months ago.
