Dr Bell and Dr Braganza make a difference every day to the lives of Gold Coast families and visitors who find themselves needing emergency medical attention.

Dr Bell has been a leader in children’s (and adult) emergency care on the Gold Coast for many years. This has included the establishment of a dedicated 24/7 Children’s Emergency Department at Gold Coast

University Hospital, which saw almost 27,000 child presentations in 201718.

Dr Braganza has a keen focus on promoting self-care and improving the culture in healthcare workplaces.

She is the founder of the OneED staff wellness program which has been well received at local, national and international levels. It won the inaugural Gold Coast Health Staff Wellness and Safety Award.

OneED began in 2016 and is designed to normalise conversations around wellness so that patients can receive highquality and compassionate care.
