Caged chickens are genetically bred to grow twice as fast as average chickens, with numerous serious related health issues and are heavily medicated to treat their diseases, with widespread overuse of antibiotics, which are consumed by humans. To suggest that less fortunate families can only afford caged eggs is ignorant and disrespectful. Free range eggs are only a few dollars more, our health is not compromised and living beings are not abused. Come on, the world is progressing and so is farming! Lisa

Is the GC getting a bit lawless or lazy or both? The beach paths are a mess, with Mo Bikes dumped like garbage anywhere, and kids going flat out on scooters. Has a law been passed that I missed saying that specifically on the GC you don’t need a helmet, and no matter what age you are you can ride an electric scooter. I have never seen anything like it anywhere else in Australia. It used to be such a clean, tidy place.

Re ‘the homeless’. Here on Coast, an image stays with me recently of a lady with two young boys under 10, pushing a supermarket trolley filled with their life. Too late l followed to give cash, they’d disappeared. Very sad. Mary
