FRESHWATER:

Bass and saratoga in Hinze Dam, particularly around the timbered areas. Bass are also being caught through the Robina area in the lakes and creeks.

Whiting still the big catch along the Broadwater, with mangrove jacks also being caught in similar areas around the Seaway and in the Coomera and Nerang Rivers.

Whiting being caught around Gold Bank and South Stradbroke Island. Flathead in Tipplers Channel and mangrove jack in the canals and Pimpama River.

Spotted mackerel along the reefs around Mermaid Beach and Palm Beach. Spanish mackerel in the same areas and in the 12 and 18 fathom reefs around Southport and Tweed Heads. Wahoo and yellowfin tuna can be found in the same areas.
