COUPLE WEDDED TO IDEA OF BUYING THIS HOME

-

A GOLD Coast couple will be toasting more than one milestone after saying “I do’’ to a Reedy Creek property.

Not only have they found their dream home but also a wedding venue for their upcoming nuptials.

Marketing agent Matt Micallef, of Ray White Robina, said the pair were looking “all over the Coast” for the right home.

“They were looking for a family home but one that would facilitate their wedding in December too,” he said. “It has a nice outdoor area and it overlooks the city skyline.”

They splashed $1.02 million on the property.

The two-storey house in Southern Skies Ave has five bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as an outdoor deck and pool.

It had been on the market for about eight months under another agency before Mr Micallef took over the marketing.

“Within five days with seven groups through, (we) sold the property for $1.02 million,” he said.

“(The owners) were so happy, they were in tears actually.”

Mr Micallef approached the sellers after noticing their property had been on the market for a considerable period and offered to try different tactics to help sell it.

“I saw their property sitting on the market for a long time (so) I just doorknocked them one day,” he said.

“The owners actually went into a contract significantly lower than $1 million (earlier), which fell through.”

Property records show the house last sold for $835,000 in December 2010.
