Potential for a stronger increase in Southerly groundswel­l. Northern NSW: Consistent 6 to 8ft across south- facing coasts, grading to 3 to 6ft along open beaches with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Wrapping at a slow 3 to 4ft+ exposed beaches and grading to 1 to 3ft along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early WSW to SSW 10 to 15 knots, tending Southerly, SSE 15 to 20 knots.

TOMORROW:

SSE groundswel­l slowly eases. Sets around 5 to 6ft+ across northern NSW south-facing coasts, wrapping at 3 to 4ft+ exposed Qld beaches and grading to 1 to 3ft along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early SW to SSW 10 to 15 knots, tending lighter SSE to SE in the afternoon and to light and variable in the evening.

MONDAY:

SSE swell slowly eases. Around 4 to 5ft+ across northern NSW southfacin­g coasts, settling to 3 to 4ft+ later. Wrapping at 2 to 3ft+ exposed Qld beaches and grading to 1 to 3ft along

the points and inside the bays. WIND: Westerly, WNW 5 to 10 knots, tending West and freshening in the afternoon.

Leftover SSE swell around 2 to 3ft+ across northern NSW south-facing beaches, reinforced by a gradual rise in South swell during the afternoon.. Wrapping at 1 to 2ft+ along exposed Qld coasts and grading to tiny levels along the points and inside the bays. WIND: WSW to SW 15 to 20 knots.

WEDNESDAY:

Potential for steep rising Southerly swell. Speculativ­ely 3 to 4ft across northern NSW south-facing beaches, building to 4 to 6ft in the afternoon, possibly bigger later. Around 1 to 2ft along exposed Qld beaches and virtually flat along the points and inside the bays, picking up into the afternoon. WIND: WSW 10 to 20 knots, tending WSW to South and freshening during the arvo.
