Freddie Fox Trot has solid metro form and will find this assignment the easiest he has confronted for a long time. The Les Kelly-trained five-yearold is fitter for two runs back from a spell and is a winner over this course and distance and has been placed on rain-affected ground. Smartypy has been placed twice on a heavy track and will appreciate the drop back to 1200m after being unplaced in the 1600m Ballina Cup which followed a midweek win at Doomben over 1350m. High Degree is resuming and has winning wet track form and
Defence Missile also handles the wet.

Beachbreak has had plenty of chances to break through but hasn’t been far off the pace with three placings from her past four starts. The Toby and Trent Edmonds-trained filly was a creditable second at the Sunshine Coast before running third in a 1050m Doomben Maiden and has been placed on a rain-affected track.
Let’s Conquer is resuming but has been placed three times from seven starts. Galvarino is also resuming and has won a recent Doomben trial and
Lady Belzone has three placings from five starts and has had two Doomben trials in preparation for her return.

The Chris Waller-trained Gandiva broke through for her Maiden win three starts back at Murwillumbah and returned to the Gold Coast last start for a second in a Fillies and Mares Class 1. She gets her chance to go one better.
Send Us A Sign was a beaten favourite last start over 1200m at the Coast and is worth another chance and has won on the heavy. Sunday Sassy is taking the next step after winning her Maiden over this course and distance last start. Beat Za Drum ran a solid first-up third at the Gold Coast and expect further improvement with that run under her belt.

Coastal Boy has a win and three placings from four runs on a heavy track and will have wet conditions to suit him today. The Darryl Hansentrained Coastal Boy is fitter for a firstup third over 1100m at the Gold Coast a fortnight ago. Sea Raider broke through for his Maiden win on debut over this course and distance and is certain to make his presence felt again.
Will’s Bid will appreciate the drop in weight back on his home track and
Pluck Jam will be able to overcome a wide gate after showing plenty of early speed last start when a narrow second in a 1200m Gold Coast 0-68 Handicap.
