Flow is riding a wave of passion for ocean

-

MILLIONAIRES with surfing bents will be riding high in new Coolangatta apartment tower Flow thanks to the enthusiasm of wave-riding developer Paul Gedoun.

He’s laced the 12-floor tower, which will have 20 apartments, with not only home comforts, but surfing “necessities”.

They include an outdoor shower with surfboard rack, individual indoor lockers for each owner for boards and skis, and a surf-repair station where things like dings quickly can be “up-dinged”.

The 42-year-old Paul, who discovered boardriding four years ago, views Flow’s location above Rainbow Bay as a dream one – especially for surfers.

The Marine Pde site also is a stroll away from surfing havens Greenmount, Snapper Rocks and Duranbah.

The well-heeled surfers who target Flow will be buying into a building where prices start at $1.25 million and peak at $10.5 million for the two-level penthouse.

That apartment and the four single-floor apartments below it, collectively worth $38 million, already are spoken for by buyers but Paul isn’t letting on whether they are people who share his surfing passion.

Construction is expected to “flow” on the $12 million-plus site by October.

Mark Richards, former world surfing champion and one of the owners pocketing $2 million or more from selling Paul an apartment in Flow site forerunner Rainbow’s End, could be an interested onlooker.

He’s mooted to have an apartment earmarked in the new building.
