TODAY’S photo is a teensy bit indulgent because it shows moi with the cast of The Peter Moselle Show when we performed at the old Coolangatta Hotel.

I was billed as the only girl in an all-male revue and the picture has Peter and Johnny Moselle (not related), the fabulous Holly Brown with Tommy and Billy Rinaldo. English-born Peter was a showbiz genius with a knack for creating brilliant shows that were simply great fun for cast and audience alike and always performed to packed houses. Drag shows such as this and the iconic Les Girls in Sydney starring Carlotta in Sydney were a hot-ticket item in that era. Coolangatta back then was still considered the place to holiday, possibly a hangover from the railway line that was ripped up in the early 1960s.
