Benowa blaze takes two hours to control

- STEPHEN DRILL

MULTIPLE fire crews were called to a blaze that ripped through a Benowa home on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services attended the Rannock Ave scene at 12.40pm.

The fire was finally under control shortly after 3pm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services confirmed they had initially reported four residents unaccounted for, but all had been located as of 1.25pm.

Ambulance crews were also on standby, but no one was treated or taken to hospital.

PRINCE Harry and Prince William will be forced to put on a “united front” at a memorial service for their late mother Diana, in what could be their first face-to-face encounter six months after their very public fallout.

Prince William, 38, has not spoken to his little brother for almost a year, although he had made contact via a WhatsApp text, and certainly not since Harry and Meghan’s tell all interview with Oprah where he branded his family racist.

But the pair will have to put their differences aside when a statue of Princess Diana is unveiled in the sunken garden at Kensington Palace on July 1.

“Tensions are undoubtedly running high but they both realise it is important to put any differences aside for the ceremony at least,” a royal source told The Daily Mirror.

“There is definitely a feeling that both camps are prepared to come together and put on a united front for such a special occasion.”

Meghan will not attend as she is due to give birth to her second child, a girl, around that time. Prince William told reporters this week he had not spoken to Prince Harry since the interview, but he “will do”.

The brothers have had a spectacular falling out, with 36-year-old Prince Harry feeling that his older brother was a snob towards Meghan.

In the Oprah interview, Prince Harry described the relationship with his brother as “space at the moment”.

“Time heals all things, hopefully,” he added.

Prince William denied claims from his brother that the royal family was racist.
