THIRD GEDOUN TOWER FOR COOLANGATTA
RESTAURANTS and houses in the heart of Coolangatta will make way for a high-end luxury tower on the NSW border.
Fresh from gaining approval for two Point Danger projects, S & S Projects – headed by Paul Gedoun – has filed plans with the Gold Coast City Council for its third residential tower on the state’s border in a year.
Esprit is planned for a 2424sq m site on the corner of Coolangatta’s Boundary and Ward streets and will be two interconnected buildings of eight and 12 storeys, respectively.
It will replace a series of low-rise houses and restaurants, including popular burger shop Beloporto Rainbow Bay.
Mr Gedoun said the rapid sellout of his Flow
Residences tower convinced him to expand his holdings in the Coast’s south.
Construction of
Flow began late last year after more than $74m in sales were recorded in just four months.
Mr Gedoun is preparing to begin construction of Awaken, a luxury 12-storey tower planned for the site of the Cafe Dbar.
Esprit, his third Gold Coast project, has a design inspired by the area’s rockpools. It will feature 97 units, including a mix of 72 two-bedroom and 25 three-bedroom apartments, and have a yoga lawn, gym, steam rooms, ice bath and lap pool.
The project will go before the council’s planning committee later this year.
