JOY COMES TO END AFTER 56 YEARS
IN 1965, local dance legend Joy Ransley began what was to be a long association with the Royal Academy of Dance.
To put it into context, back then Robert Menzies was prime minister, The Beatles were top of the pops and Robert Helpmann was Australian of the Year.
Now after all those years, Joy is stepping down as an examiner for the academy. “It’s been a long and interesting road and I have been touched by hundreds of lives, which is the part of my career that I have loved,” she explained.
“The reason is to look after my health but I have been amazed by the huge number of messages I have received from around the world.”
One of the greats.
