THE SHADOW, PINOT NOIR, ADELAIDE HILLS, 2020

Good yin/yang of sweet red cherry and raspberry fruit with savoury stalk spice. Some stony coolness with dark, forest floor nuance cling to a fleshy middle palate while finishing a little bony and angular.

THE FEVER, GROWER BLEND, MCLAREN VALE, 2019

This is a unique blend of merlot, cabernet sav and mataro. Bold blackcurrant, crushed kitchen herbs, black jellybean and a steely edge. Tight drying tannins. Slick, bright and full with an enjoyable length.

Alc: 14 per cent

THE MURDER, SHIRAZ, MCLAREN VALE, 2017

Showing plenty of regional McLaren Vale red jube and “choc/nut” generosity with a silky, plush body. Some meaty depth and cracked pepper spice through a dark and brooding finish. For those who like big, rich wines. Rating: 90/100
