Coast recruit rolls in for NBL1

- With Gold Coast Basketball GM Joel McInnes

JASON Cadee will play his first game for the Gold Coast Rollers on Saturday.

After three years of engaging in recruitment that would be considered tampering in the NBA, the Rollers finally have their man.

Cadee, who started his NBL career playing for the Gold Coast Blaze, returns to the Gold Coast on Saturday night at Carrara to play the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.

He finished another stellar season with the Brisbane Bullets, being rewarded with the Players Player award.

Blaze fans will be out in force to see him link up with friend Anthony Petrie on the court against a strong Phoenix team. Both Rollers teams are 3-2 for the season.

In QSL1 action, all Gold Coast teams are playing at home on Saturday. The Seahawks men will need to bounce back after a poor loss, being run over by Gladstone 23-9 in the last quarter.

The Rollers men could see themselves sitting top of the QSL1 ladder if results go their way this weekend.

The Seahawks women should continue their strong undefeated run against a good Brisbane side.
