New vax hub on Gold Coast
A NEW vaccination hub is opening at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on July 26 and it will be open seven days a week.
Health Minister Yvette D’Ath said the communitybased hub was being created in response to growing demand for vaccinations from Gold Coast residents.
As of July 16, Queensland Health has administered more than 740,000 vaccinations.
Meanwhile, the Albert Waterways
Vaccination Centre will close on July 19, with those scheduled for a jab there moved to other locations.
To have the opportunity to access Queensland’s community vaccination locations, people must register their interest and they will be invited to make an appointment if appointments are available in their location.
