Limo driver’s $4000 fine
A LIMOUSINE driver was fined $4135 for trying to cross the border into Queensland.
The driver and three passengers attempted to enter the state from NSW when they were stopped by police.
Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said the driver had falsified their declaration form.
“The three passengers are not co-operating at the moment, so further investigations are ongoing,” he said.
The four occupants were placed into hotel quarantine, along with a 79-year-old who also tried to enter the state from a hotspot.
A total of 1611 vehicles were processed on the Queensland border on Thursday.
