AIRBNB ATTACK LAWSUIT

-

AN AMERICAN woman is suing Airbnb after she was attacked and badly injured while staying at one of its rental properties in Barcelona.

Victoria Yordanova was 21 when she suffered two neck fractures and a broken arm in 2018, during what she described as an attempted abduction, The Boston Globe reported. Yordanova, a student at Simmons University in Boston who was studying in Dublin, said she woke up to three men carrying her out of her bed and down a staircase. When she began fighting and screaming, she said the men threw her down the stairs. In response Airbnb said that between July 2019 and June last year in “only .086 per cent of trips” was there a safety issue reported. It is said to employ a “safety team” of 100 agents who respond to crimes in its properties.
