Demons starting to fire as QAFL finals draw near

- TOM BOSWELL

SURFERS Paradise QAFL coach Brad Moore says the Demons are starting to find the consistency that will propel them to the finals.

The Demons will take on Maroochydore in an important round 17 clash at Sir Bruce Small Park on Saturday looking to ensure they retain their place in the top six on the ladder.

Surfers Paradise are in fifth and Maroochydore is one above them on

equal points and with multiple clubs having a bye this weekend, it is the perfect opportunity to put points in the bank as the team edges towards a finals campaign.

“I’m really happy with the way the boys are playing,” Moore said.

“Since the PBC game we dropped (in round 12) after leading at threequarter time we have started to play a bit more consistently.”

Broadbeach, Labrador and Palm Beach Currumbin all have byes this weekend while Surfers Paradise will have the break next week.
